This year's Salone del Mobile in Milan showed that designers are increasingly turning to ceramics: this eco-friendly, textured and very expressive material can take on a variety of forms, facilitating creative experiments. The AESTHETE selection includes both new items and time-tested interior items created using ceramics. And it's not just tableware and decor! See what ceramic trends 2025 offers to us!
1 Mantle Storage System, Signature Kitchen Suite
In 2024, Patricia Urquiola created a modular storage system specifically to accommodate a compact built-in refrigerator. It can be used not only in the kitchen, but also, for example, in the bedroom, as well as in offices.
2 Decorative console Ladder, AA Danto
The ceramic tiled object designed by French designer and architect India Mahdavi was brought to life by the young Japanese brand Alternative Artefacts Danto. India also developed a whole collection of ceramic tiles with delicate relief especially for it.
3 Omamori vases, Paola C.
The Omamori vases were designed for Paola C. by Chiara Andreatti, known for her many collaborations with Fendi and cc-tapis. The Italian designer was inspired by the shape of the Japanese omamori amulet, a small handbag that brings good luck to its owner.
4 Vase Finestra Giorno, Mutina
This vase is part of a series of ceramic objects created by Ronan Bouroullec. The name Finestra Giorno translates from Italian as "Day Window" - the designer calls the vase "a gateway to an imaginary world."
5 Lamp Fregio, Foscarini
Fregio is a lamp created by Foscarini in collaboration with the Gatti di Faenza art studio. Ceramic panels with an ornate floral relief are attached to a simple metal profile with a light source using straps, creating an interesting contrast between the functional and the decorative.
6 Aroma candle HF501 Liela, BORK
The aroma candle is handmade in Thailand: the masters use paints created with herbs to paint the bowl. Wax based on jasmine rice melts at a low temperature - it can be used for a relaxing massage.
7 Table lamps Céramique Down, Flos
Another item designed by Ronan Bouroullec - with this lamp you can set several lighting scenarios thanks to the rotating lampshade. You can order the model in Russia in the IDCollection salon.
8 Table Aperetivo, Liu Jo Living
The Aperitivo mini-series, designed by Simone Cagnazzo, celebrates the tradition of the Italian aperitif. The coffee tables are designed to make the atmosphere in the home or on the terrace even more welcoming and festive. The removable ceramic top is made by the Faenza ceramist Federica Bubani - the color spots on each one are slightly different.
9 Twelve Forty Chair, Floris Wubben
The chair's name was not chosen by chance: it denotes the temperature at which the ceramic parts are fired (1240 degrees). The seat and back are inserted into the ceramic base using a nail-free connection method.
10 Tables Keramikè, Baxter
Available in several sizes, the Keramikè tables are made entirely of glazed ceramic. The surface of the tabletop is divided into several asymmetrical sections-slabs that overlap each other, reminiscent of rock relief. The muted color palette also refers to natural aesthetics.
11 Le Cabinet, Doshi Levien
The cabinet with a coloured porcelain front is an homage to the work of the architect Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in India. The edition is limited to 8 copies, and the object was presented by the French gallery Sèvres — Cité de la Céramique.
12 Glazed decor Rinascente Resin Brick Murano, Atlas Concorde Russia
The decor is made of porcelain stoneware, due to which it is distinguished by increased strength and density in comparison with ordinary ceramics. Nevertheless, visually and tactilely the material has the same characteristics as ceramic tiles. The decor is presented in four noble colors: gray-beige, sand, sea and grassy.
13 Sculptures Stelo, Paola Lenti
Ceramicist Nicolo Morales pays tribute to the craft traditions of his native Sicilian town of Caltagirone, where potters once worked with clay that they mined themselves in the surrounding area. Morales also uses natural mixtures of earthy minerals collected in the area. The author was inspired by the marine world: in cross-section, the sculptures resemble prehistoric marine trilobites.
14 Vase "Cyprus", Elena Pesko
The Mobillissimi gallery presents a single vase by ceramic artist Elena Pesko, who uses a method of modeling objects using cords. The vase is hand-made from chamotte, a highly durable fireproof ceramic mass.
15 Picea, Molteni& C tables
Vincent van Duysen created these tables for the Molteni&C outdoor furniture collection. Their laconic form refers to the simple natural beauty of the evergreen spruce, whose Latin name is Picea.
16 Mirror Coves, Living Edge
The ceramic frame of this mirror is inspired by the framing of old paintings - it is a modern interpretation of a relief baguette. Due to the reflection of the slats in the mirror, the frame looks even more voluminous.
17 Pilotis Ceramic Outdoor Table, Minotti
Rodolfo Dordoni has expanded the Pilotis table line with an outdoor ceramic version. The waterproof item is available in eight warm and dusty shades: from terracotta to plum. In Moscow, you can order this table at the IDCollection showroom.
18 Penelope Table Lamp, Visual Comfort
The lamp designed by Alexa Hampton is a playful interpretation of the classic table lamp silhouette. The simple textile lampshade contrasts effectively with the ceramic base, which is “gathered” into soft folds. You can buy the lamp in Russia at the Visual Comfort Gallery.
19 Brolic vases, Cassina
The hand-cast vases designed by Bradley L. Bowers are mesmerizingly dynamic: the ceramics seem to flow like silky satin. The designer aimed to create the effect of human breathing or the constant movement of the sea waves.
20 Tables #001, Aleks Home
A set of coffee tables, handcrafted from ceramic and glazed in a metallic black shade, these two organically shaped tables nest inside each other, creating an elegant sculptural tandem.
