A yellow-purple bedroom, a color block in the kitchen-living room and a children's room in neon shades - we show bold designer experiments with color that inspire.
Have a look at the Beautiful Color Combinations for the interior. Which one you prefer most? Leave a comment below!
1. Raspberry and blue kitchen
The combination of blue and red is considered very beautiful, but complex: both colors are active and can conflict with each other, so it is important to maintain a balance. Here, the designer went even further and chose two deep shades for the kitchen: rich crimson, with a pink undertone, and blue with a hint of turquoise . The first was used in the wall decoration, the second was used for the furniture. This pair is connected by universal basic colors: white, brown, black.
2. Blue and lilac bedroom
In coloristics, there are several types of color combinations in the palette . Analogous pairs look especially interesting - that is, those in which neighboring shades are collected. For example, blue and light lilac, as here. A brighter color is used as an accent to dilute the pastel combination with white. The same role is played by gold details, which emphasize the deep blue and add texture.
3. Bathroom in rich warm colors
It is in the bathroom that many decide to experiment with colors , and this one can definitely be called very bold. Several rich, bright and active shades are collected here at once: red, orange , yellow. All of them are in the same color temperature, together they resemble an explosion of colors or a blazing sunset on the beach. The effect is enhanced by ethnic notes in the pattern on the tiles and the design of the sink. And the eyes can rest on the white plumbing, which dilutes this combination.
4. Kitchen-living room in color-block style
Color block is a way of interior design based on a combination of bright colors. And they are distributed, as the name suggests, in blocks. This can be partial painting of the walls (for example, in squares, arches, semicircles), large graphic furniture, large-scale decor. This example has it all: the white surface of the walls is diluted with gray and blue (and the shade of the latter is the same as the island standing close to it), contrasting with them is a bright orange set. And that's not all - there is a lemon-yellow sofa nearby .
5. Marshmallow-berry bedroom
White is the perfect backdrop for richer tones. In this bedroom, it’s used as a base and complemented with a stunning combination of soft marshmallow pink tones and a pop of bright red. The rich redcurrant hue is present in just one element – the painting above the bed – but it immediately catches the eye and contrasts effectively with the pastel palette.
6. Children's room in neon colors
In this project, a bold neon palette, untypical for a "girly" nursery, was chosen for the young owner. Here, purple, green, rich turquoise, pink and orange met. And in the study area , visually separating it from the rest of the space, red was used. All this is harmoniously united by a refreshing white, which is present in the decoration, furniture and accessories. Thanks to this, the room looks impressive, but not overloaded.
7. Yellow and purple bedroom
Purple itself is considered a difficult color, and many avoid it. And the combination with yellow is one of the most controversial. But with the right shades, it looks very beautiful - and the example below proves it. This combination is associated with a bouquet of multi-colored tulips or, as the author of the project suggests, with a blueberry cheesecake seasoned with lemon zest. It is important not to overload the bedroom with color, so the purple wall is only behind the headboard . Opposite - white, so that the view from the bed is calm. Yellow is used in accents.
8. Multicolored kitchen-living room
Another example of detailed work with color is this kitchen-living room. Here, as in many similar cases, pure white acts as a base and connecting link . And several active, but not conflicting with each other, shades are laid on it at once. On the one hand, there are bright and warm variations of red, yellow, orange. On the other, there is a whole gradation of cool tones from dark blue to soft blue . Due to the fact that they are evenly distributed around the room and echo each other in different combinations, a rich, but integral picture is obtained - an ordered color chaos.
