Digital visionary and collector Andres Reisinger entrusted the work on his apartment to designer Iñigo Iriarte. The result is both cohesive and eclectic.
Reisinger began his illustrious career with 3D fantasies: among his famous works are virtual interiors and still lifes, fantastic scenography, and advertising campaigns. However, the interior of his family apartment in Madrid is more than real. It is located in El Viso, an area with a rich and varied history, in a 1930s house built as a cooperative housing project for workers. The idea was to create a kind of garden city away from the bustle of the city center.
According to Reisinger, the atmosphere of a serene oasis still reigns here. Designer Iñigo Iriarte was able to convey this feeling in the interior, combining an eclectic color palette, vintage finds, modern objects, and souvenirs from travels around the world.
Contrasting materials—smooth marble tables, velvet-upholstered sofas, wicker chair seats—add depth and texture to the space. The project also includes Andres Reisinger’s own works, which marked important moments in his creative path. Perhaps the most striking example is the pink Hortensia chair, originally created for digital reality and then released by the Moooi brand.
“These are pieces that challenge, delight or have special sentimental value,” says the designer. “I wanted to surround myself with works that remind me of the evolution of my craft and continue to inspire future creations.”
