Designer Konstantin Kolesov, keykey studio, transformed the attic into an ethno-punk style floor of a private house. In an area of 68 square meters, he managed to place everything necessary for a comfortable life for a married couple and their cat.

"The clients are creative people with an unusual character," says the designer. "They wanted to create a peaceful and cozy atmosphere conducive to relaxation, but at the same time they wanted to see bright solutions in their interior. Fortunately, they supported and contributed to the implementation of all the bold ideas in the project."

The owners both live and work in this house: the ground floor houses a work area with a store, and the attic contains private quarters. The top floor was transformed into a comfortable living space by remodeling, which resulted in a living room, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom. “We removed the wall, combining the hallway with the room, which allowed us to create a spacious living room,” says Konstantin. “The kitchen, which was not used, was also removed. Due to the design of the attic floor, there were niches between the beams in the walls along the perimeter of all the rooms. We hid these niches behind doors made of larch plywood, which creates the effect of a solid wall and conceals storage systems.”

True, it was not possible to get rid of all the shortcomings of the attic floor — it was necessary to play up the block with the staircase connecting the two floors. “The unusual geometry of the room with a protruding central block became the reference point for creating the project,” the designer comments. “We made the main emphasis on it, covering this block with white fur. I am inspired by the idea of complex combinations that at first glance seem incompatible, but in the end, form interesting combinations. In this project, we made friends with many seemingly incompatible textures and materials: stainless steel, fur, bright-colored glass, and vintage and ethnic patterns. The basic colors and textures were calm and natural. The accent elements are bright and expressive. This approach corresponds to my author's style of ethno-punk.”

The set of items is also an eclectic mix: "In accordance with the concept, it was necessary to select both modern minimalist furniture items and some vintage, ethnic ones, and at the same time so that they do not argue, but complement each other. The most modern item in the living room is a modular sofa. Its delicate, cloudy forms go well with the soft fur surface of the wall. I would also like to highlight the accent wooden chest of drawers MyLoft with an organic pattern on the doors and an ethnic screen from India."

Many elements and objects were custom-made specifically for this project. This includes, of course, the entrance block itself in the form of an accent fur cube, as well as a stainless steel cabinet with illuminated glass niches, cubic steel cabinets in the bathroom and a shower with red glass walls. The striking ceiling lamp in the living room was also designed by the designer and made to order: the model is distinguished by "rails" attached to the beam, along which decorative inserts can be moved.

The armchair in the living room area was chosen from the divan.ru range, as was the sofa. The bed in the bedroom is from Ossen. The desk is from Ikea. Lighting is from Arlight and Loftdesign. The laminate flooring is from My Floor. In the bathroom, there is Grasaro porcelain tile and AM.PM plumbing.
