Working on the modern design interior of a spacious apartment with terraces was not the first experience of cooperation between the DA bureau team and this customer. The trusting relationship that developed during the implementation of previous projects allowed the space to be organized without technical specifications from the owner of the house. The complex geometry of the object with panoramic glazing was not a problem: living rooms were located near the windows, and the central block contained utility rooms. Due to the lack of restrictions from the customer, the stylish minimalist concept was quickly agreed upon.

The color scheme of the design corresponds to the philosophy of the interior, in which there is nothing superfluous. The ascetic palette of white, gray and beige tones is enlivened by rare inclusions of accent blue, and rich textures bring expressiveness and a sense of habitability. The combination of stainless steel, warm wood and decorative concrete plaster used in different proportions helped to visually delimit the large area.

Layout

The designers got their hands on a space with outstanding initial data in the form of large footage, panoramic windows, and high ceilings. They were used to emphasize the potential of the penthouse and its views. In the central part of the house, there is a technical block, which unites a variety of utilitarian functions, from communications to storage and a guest bathroom. The key idea of the designers was to maintain an open layout, so from here, you can go to the halves for daytime and evening stays. In the first wing, there is a master bedroom and several children's rooms with personal bathrooms, and in the second - a living room with a fireplace, TV area, and kitchen. Another place for relaxation is the playroom, equipped with everything necessary for comfortable leisure.

All parts of the apartment are connected to each other thanks to wide passages and a corridor surrounding the central volume.

Interior and solutions

Palette and context

To prevent the restrained color scheme from seeming boring, it was decided to dilute it with splashes of rich blue and accent yellow faucets in the children's bathrooms. Almost all the cabinet furniture for the project was made to order: the client needed spacious storage systems that would ideally suit the dimensions and functionality of rooms of complex shape.

Living plants brought coziness to the minimalist design

Well-thought-out lighting scenarios play a special role in the interior: instead of the usual pendant lights, hidden light profiles and almost invisible built-in lamps appeared in most rooms. They highlight the textures of "crumpled" stainless steel, glossy porcelain stoneware, and wood. Hidden doors and precisely calculated joints of structures helped the DA bureau team achieve the desired visual purity of the space. Due to them, the filling of the rooms looks like a solid background for life.

Kitchen-living room

Modern design

The center of attraction of the combined public space is the fireplace and TV area. It attracts the attention of guests thanks to the volumetric decor in the upper part: it imitates the brutal fractures of the rock surface. The designers framed the lower part with panels of gray stone, and a glass "cube" is designed to protect it from open flames. Thanks to the successful corner location of the fireplace, the soft glow of the flame is visible from both the Boca Room corner sofa and the dining group. Despite the transparent partitions separating the adjacent recreation area from the living room, a private atmosphere can be achieved in both rooms. Thick beige curtains were provided especially for this purpose.

The customer was responsible for finding ready-made furniture items for the project himself.

The dominant feature of the dining group is a spectacular table on massive legs. It stands out from the surrounding decoration due to the rich texture of the wood and the Kreon suspension that emphasizes it.

The laconic steel set refers to professional culinary shows: strict gray facades of a separate island and lower modules form a spacious work surface. Household appliances are built into adjacent white cabinets with an unusual opening mechanism.

Bedroom

Modern design

The spacious master block is located away from the noisy leisure area. It was not separated from the adjacent bathroom, but, on the contrary, combined into one space. Thus, opposite a simple black bed and a podium with steps leading to it, a free-standing bathtub is installed. It offers a view of the cityscape. Nearby, there are two washbasins, supporting the monochrome palette of the interior.

The only isolated areas here are the toilet and dressing room, hidden behind a partition finished with wood panels.

Bathrooms

The character of the children's bathrooms is slightly different from the usual severity of the rest of the interior: here, there are spotty splashes of color in the shelves for bath accessories and floor mixers. Other bathrooms are designed in materials similar to the hall, and the main role in them is played by large volumes of steel.

Hidden light profiles also helped to compensate for the lack of natural light in bathrooms located far from windows.
