Architectural studio DMOA designed the interior of a tiny penthouse with an area of just over 15 square meters. It is located on the top floor of a new five-story office building in Leuven, Belgium.

This open-plan mini-loft has the great advantage of a terrace with panoramic views of the city. The apartment can be accessed via a staircase that runs through the entire building.

The studio collaborated with Belgian furniture maker Ethnicraft to provide space-saving pieces that fit into small spaces. The project actively used modular furniture – this allows you to make the room more functional, without cluttering it or depriving it of light.

To the right of the entrance, there is a living area with a modular sofa Ethnicraft N701, table, chair, and shelf. Extendable dining table – allows you to receive guests, work or engage in hobbies. The bedroom area is separated from the living-dining room space by a graphic black Ethnicraft Teak Studio Rack.

The architects note that small apartments often lack storage systems, so they took care of mobile storage options – they used a pair of cabinets with drawers from Ethnicraft. One of them is equipped with an upper section with compartments for storing small items. If necessary, the cabinets are easy to move thanks to wheels or can be rolled under the table when not in use.
